And here is my card:

This image is called A Girl and Her Kitty. I just loved it right away. It brought back a lot of childhood memories when I saw it. I remember always having a cat and always carrying it around with me. Sometimes the poor thing would have to suffer through being dressed up in my doll clothes! It was always fun! I used my Copics (RV11, B14, E37, YR24, E00, E33, and BV11) to color her.
I used cardstock from the DCWV Shimmer Stack and the DPs are from the Paper Studio All Seasons pack. The plaid DP is from DCWV Sweet Matstack with glitter. The ribbon was found at Jo-Ann's. The cats were cut from my Cricut Animal Kingdom cartridge with paper from my stash.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #65 - Bugaboo

Wow! September already! I am so glad that the first couple of weeks of school are over. Things started okay, but I do have a student that is really testing my patience. He's new to our school this year and is having a really hard time adjusting. He spend almost his whole year on a computer last year and now he has to work hard...we'll see how things go...
Things are pretty crazy this week: celebrating my 30th birthday (Yikes!) and going camping this weekend...it should be fun. Also have to say that my husband and I are expecting our 2nd child. Still in my first trimester, but feeling pretty good. Needless to say, with work and all that we have this week, I am going to be really busy!
Anyway, enough babbling...we have a great sponsor this week: Bugaboo Stamps. Jodie has a lot of fun images and she is offering a super prize to our winner. She will give 7 digi stamps to our winner, which is a value of $21! Wow!

So, here is our fabulous sketch to follow that Arlana has put together for us. You should hop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and see what the other DT members have created and play along!

Well, here's my card. I hope that you like it.

This image is called Moon Babies - Night Night. I used my Copics (Y13, Y11, RV11, C3, C1, E00, B32, and B14) to color the image. I just fell to pieces when I saw it. The cardstock is from both The Paper Company - Seaside pack and DCWV The Cardstock Stack. The DP's come from DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack. The ribbon is from Target's $1 bin and the brads I found at Michael's. I bought the button in a pack from Jo-Ann's. Hope you all have a great week!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge 64 - Digi Stamp Characters

Wow! I can't believe we're at the end of August already! This year seem to be really flying by! I survived my first few days with students. Things seem to be going well so far. No high schoolers! Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Characters. Heather is offering 3 free digi's from her etsy shop!

Here's the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday:

This image (Cupcake) really reminded me of my daughter. For her birthday party, I had made a bunch of cupcakes and she kept trying to sneak them from the table before the party started. She was successful a couple of times. When I caught her, she had frosting all down her face! All I could do was laugh!

I used my Copics (E37, E00, R29, Y13, BV11, E33, B32, RV11, G21, RV29, and B05) to color the image. The DP is from DCWV Summer Dream Stack and Flower Shower Spring Stack. The light green cardstock is from DCWV The Cardstock Stack and the dark green is from THe Paper Company Botanicals pack. I used my Martha Stewart border press to do the edge of the light green paper. You might not be able to tell, but it presses a flower into the paper. The fowers come from Calypso Tin that I bought at Michael's and the brads came from Hobby Lobby. The ribbon also came from Michael's.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge 63 - Digi Stamp Boutique

Welcome back for another great challenge! Today is my last work day before students come tomorrow. We'll see how this goes. I actually get my students from last year and loop up with them to the next grade. I've never done this before, so I'm a little nervous. At least I know exactly where we left off and what they should already know! I did have a nightmare though and dreamed that when they showed up, they were high schoolers! Yikes! I am not that brave to teach the older kids...really hope that that doesn't happen!
Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Boutique. Sally Ann is offering 10 free digi images! WOW!

We have a great sketch to follow from Sweet Sketch Wednesday so jump on over and play along!

This image really caught my attention! It's called Cheeky Cat and Spider. I loved it right away. I used my Copics (RV11, W7, W5, W9, Y13, YR04, R08, and R29) to color it. The DP came from a pack of paper that I bought at Wal-Mart a long time ago. The cardstock is from DCWV The Shimmer Stack. The green and orange ribbon and buttons also came in the same pack. The spotted ribbon was bought at Michael's. The brads are from Hobby Lobby. I used my Plantin SchoolBook cartridge from my Cricut to cut the ovals. I also used Glossy Accents on the eyes of the cat, spider, and pumpkin.
Well, tomorrow is our first day of school and I am going to be busy. I am teaching 2nd grade this year...never taught 2nd, so I'm a little nervous. I have taught 1st grade for the last 5 years and I get to take my class from last year, so at least there won't be too much time taken to have to get to know my students, I will be able to hit the ground running. Wish me luck!

Kathy is offering two digi's of your choice to the winner of this week's challenge.

We have another great sketch this week from Sweet Sketch Wednesday. It was so fun!

Now, I know you might think I've gone a little crazy making a 4th of July card a month late, but I really loved this image. This is Uncle Sam. I thought he was super cute! I used my Copics (R29, C3, C1, 100, 0, W5, E29, B29, Y15, and E00) to color him. The DPs come from The Paper Studio - All Seasons pack and the cardstock is from DCWV The Cardstock Stack. Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge 60 Shirley's 2 Girls

Posted by Picasa

Wow! July has sure passed in a hurry! Hope everyone is having fun creating cards. Arlana has designed another great sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and this week's sponsor is Shirley's 2 Girls. This image is called "Stork Delivery". I used my Zig H2O water brush with my Sweetberry Ink Dye Pads (amber, yam, Juneberry, admiral, ivy, pansy) and Create-A-Finish Shading Cake Kit (peach) to color the image. The cream cardstock is from The Paper Company "Seaside" pack and the green is from DCWV The Cardstock Stack. The printed papers are DCWV from Nana's Kids Stack. The embellishment is also from the same stack. The ribbon is from Jo-Ann's and I used my Cricut Plantin SchoolBook cartridge to cut the circles and square pieces. Happy crafting and hope you have a good week! See you in August!
