Just Something Extra

Hello all! Hope all of you are having a great week! I just made these cards for our new teachers at our school. I got the image from Digi Stamp Boutique and the image is called Spring Coco. Isn't he cute?

I used my Copics (YG03, G24, G21, RV11, Y11, Y13, E33, E09, and E37) to color the image. The cardstock came from the DCWV Cardstock Stack. The DPs came from my stash and the embellishments are from Martha Stewart. The flowers on the first card are from a Calypso Tin that I bought at Michael's. I have to say, they loved Coco!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge 64 - Digi Stamp Characters

Wow! I can't believe we're at the end of August already! This year seem to be really flying by! I survived my first few days with students. Things seem to be going well so far. No high schoolers! Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Characters. Heather is offering 3 free digi's from her etsy shop!

Here's the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday:

This image (Cupcake) really reminded me of my daughter. For her birthday party, I had made a bunch of cupcakes and she kept trying to sneak them from the table before the party started. She was successful a couple of times. When I caught her, she had frosting all down her face! All I could do was laugh!

I used my Copics (E37, E00, R29, Y13, BV11, E33, B32, RV11, G21, RV29, and B05) to color the image. The DP is from DCWV Summer Dream Stack and Flower Shower Spring Stack. The light green cardstock is from DCWV The Cardstock Stack and the dark green is from THe Paper Company Botanicals pack. I used my Martha Stewart border press to do the edge of the light green paper. You might not be able to tell, but it presses a flower into the paper. The fowers come from Calypso Tin that I bought at Michael's and the brads came from Hobby Lobby. The ribbon also came from Michael's.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge 63 - Digi Stamp Boutique

Welcome back for another great challenge! Today is my last work day before students come tomorrow. We'll see how this goes. I actually get my students from last year and loop up with them to the next grade. I've never done this before, so I'm a little nervous. At least I know exactly where we left off and what they should already know! I did have a nightmare though and dreamed that when they showed up, they were high schoolers! Yikes! I am not that brave to teach the older kids...really hope that that doesn't happen!
Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Boutique. Sally Ann is offering 10 free digi images! WOW!

We have a great sketch to follow from Sweet Sketch Wednesday so jump on over and play along!

This image really caught my attention! It's called Cheeky Cat and Spider. I loved it right away. I used my Copics (RV11, W7, W5, W9, Y13, YR04, R08, and R29) to color it. The DP came from a pack of paper that I bought at Wal-Mart a long time ago. The cardstock is from DCWV The Shimmer Stack. The green and orange ribbon and buttons also came in the same pack. The spotted ribbon was bought at Michael's. The brads are from Hobby Lobby. I used my Plantin SchoolBook cartridge from my Cricut to cut the ovals. I also used Glossy Accents on the eyes of the cat, spider, and pumpkin.
Well, tomorrow is our first day of school and I am going to be busy. I am teaching 2nd grade this year...never taught 2nd, so I'm a little nervous. I have taught 1st grade for the last 5 years and I get to take my class from last year, so at least there won't be too much time taken to have to get to know my students, I will be able to hit the ground running. Wish me luck!

We have another great sketch this week from Sweet Sketch Wednesday. It was so fun!

Now, I know you might think I've gone a little crazy making a 4th of July card a month late, but I really loved this image. This is Uncle Sam. I thought he was super cute! I used my Copics (R29, C3, C1, 100, 0, W5, E29, B29, Y15, and E00) to color him. The DPs come from The Paper Studio - All Seasons pack and the cardstock is from DCWV The Cardstock Stack. Jewelry - My Own Creations...

These are just a few of the things that I have been making. When my dad was sick, I started making jewelry as a way to keep my mind occupied. After we lost my dad, I've continued to make things as a way of healing... It's been very helpful and soothing.

This is a watch that I made for my daughter's babysitter.

I also made her this necklace. She wanted a necklace with pearls on one side and crystals on the other. I thought it was a very cool idea.

I love making bookmarks. These were also gifts.

A friend of mine broke her watch and really needed a replacement. She came over one day and this is what we created!
I hope that you enjoyed these. I will be posting more as I have more time! :-)
