Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge 60 Shirley's 2 Girls

Posted by Picasa

Wow! July has sure passed in a hurry! Hope everyone is having fun creating cards. Arlana has designed another great sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and this week's sponsor is Shirley's 2 Girls. This image is called "Stork Delivery". I used my Zig H2O water brush with my Sweetberry Ink Dye Pads (amber, yam, Juneberry, admiral, ivy, pansy) and Create-A-Finish Shading Cake Kit (peach) to color the image. The cream cardstock is from The Paper Company "Seaside" pack and the green is from DCWV The Cardstock Stack. The printed papers are DCWV from Nana's Kids Stack. The embellishment is also from the same stack. The ribbon is from Jo-Ann's and I used my Cricut Plantin SchoolBook cartridge to cut the circles and square pieces. Happy crafting and hope you have a good week! See you in August!

Flash Those Freebies Part II - Pollycraft Challenge

Last week Paula, over on Pollycraft, gave a challenge to use any freebie from her collection to create a card. Those that participated got this cute freebie called Tortoise hugs. This week the challenge was to create something with this freebie and to think green.
I thought it turned out pretty cute! What do you think?

I popped the small turtle and used Glossy Accents by Inkssentials on the eyes and shells. I used my Copic markers to color the image (YG03, G21, G28, and B32). The papers come from DCWV The Cardstock Stack and the DPs come from Cosmo Cricket Double Deck. I used Distress Ink (brushed corduroy) to give it an aged look. The ribbon, flowers, and Crystal Stickers came from Michael's and the brad from Hobby Lobby.

The cream cardstock is from The Paper Company "Seaside" pack and the red is from DCWV The Cardstock Stack. The printed papers are from DCWV Grade School Stack. The embellishments and sentiment are actually from DCWV Grade School Stack as well! This darling ribbon was found at Jo-Ann's in the $1 bin and I used my Cricut Plantin SchoolBook cartridge to cut the oval and circles.

Jewelry - My Own Creations...

These are just a few of the things that I have been making. When my dad was sick, I started making jewelry as a way to keep my mind occupied. After we lost my dad, I've continued to make things as a way of healing... It's been very helpful and soothing.

This is a watch that I made for my daughter's babysitter.

I also made her this necklace. She wanted a necklace with pearls on one side and crystals on the other. I thought it was a very cool idea.

I love making bookmarks. These were also gifts.

A friend of mine broke her watch and really needed a replacement. She came over one day and this is what we created!
I hope that you enjoyed these. I will be posting more as I have more time! :-)
